Lei la nota escrita por la clienta anterior, dando un puntaje de 5 estrellas por el ahorro en filtros de papel y la facilidad de lavar el filtro en una maquina lavaplatos, y les dire que no solo eso es lo bueno del filtro sino que deja mas aromatico su cafe, no retiene su aroma como los filtros de papel, sino que le da un mejor sabor y olor mas robusto. En mi familia hemos quedado muy contentos con este invento. Pruebelo le gustara el cambio.

cleaning it is more work than throwing out a paper filter. So what is worse for the environment, a disposable filter or using lots of water to wash this filter ? I don’t know, so we’ll keep using it anyway

I use it strictly for draining water from crushed tomatoes. Works very well for that purpose and I am pretty sure it would do a good job with coffee as I have used them before for that purpose.

I ordered this filter after reading a criticism of the solid-bottom design of the Mr. Coffee-style permanent filter; but, after using the Medelco filter twice in my several year-old Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, I am discarding the filter. I find the amount of grounds transmitted to the pot by the Medelco filter to be unacceptable – a thick layer of sludge, rather than the small amount of grit allowed by the Mr. Coffee-style filter.

This filter does not work as well as paper filters, that is you need more coffee grounds to make adequately strong coffee. In addition, this filter — although recommended for the coffee maker I bought — is not big enough to hold grounds for 12 cups of coffee.
